Can I apply mascara on Lash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness so mascara is not needed. However, you can purchase lash extension safe mascara from us in studio. Do not use regular mascara on your lashes as this will cause premature fallout of the extensions, and a build up of make up can get stuck in the base of the lash extension.
Can I swim, shower, or visit a spa?
We do ask you to minimize the chance of wetting the extensions for the first 12 hours of wear. After that 12-hour period, the adhesive used to apply your eyelash extensions is secure enough to allow you to get right back to your routine. However, keeping away from extensive contact with steam such as in saunas or certain facials is recommended since it can begin to loosen the bond.
How long will my Lash Extensions last?
Eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes. Depending on how you care for them, activity and day-to-day routine, refills should only be required every 2 to 3 weeks.
How do I cleanse & dry my Lash Extensions?
Using an extension safe lash cleanser which you can purchase in studio, foam the cleanser using water and a small brush. Brush across the lash line in all directions. Rinse with water. After cleansing your eyelashes, brush your extensions with a clean mascara wand and use a lint-free cloth to gently apply pressure to the top of your extensions while keeping your eyes closed.
How do I care for my Lash Extensions?
Avoid getting lashes wet for the first 12hours
Avoid hot steam or sauna
Use Oil free products only!
Make sure to please clean your lashes daily, either with a lash cleaner or diluted baby shampoo.
Do not perm eyelashes or manually curl.
Brush with a clean mascara wand daily.
How long will it take to apply Lash Extensions & How is it done?
The application process for lash extensions normally takes anywhere from 1.5 - 2.5 hours for a full set of lashes and 45 to 1.5 hours for a fill. You will lay comfortably on a massage table with your eyes closed at all times. During application, your lower lashes will be covered and the extensions will be applied only to your upper lashes one at a time.
How do I choose the look I want?
Before getting started you will have a consultation with your lash artist to understand what type of style you are interested in and what look will work best with your natural lashes. The overall look of the lashes can range from very natural to very glamorous.
Do I have to do anything to prep for the service?
Before your appointment make sure your eyelid and lashes are clean and free of any oil. Use a Foaming Lash Wash or an oil-free makeup remover to cleanse your lashes prior to the appointment as well to remove any leftover mascara. Right before the appointment you may be asked to cleanse your lashes with a mild cleanser to remove any leftover oils. Lashes should not be permed or manually curled at the time of appointment. Be sure not to have coffee, energy drinks etc.. before your appointment as this can cause your eyelids to move excessively not allowing us to attach an extension.
What happens if I choose to have my Lash Extensions removed?
We do offer a service to have the extensions removed involving a short twenty-minute appointment in which we apply a gel remover. The gel remover is applied on top of the extensions and allowed to sit for 10 minutes. Once the adhesive is dissolved the extensions are gently wiped away with lint free applicators exposing the natural lashes. This will not harm your natural lashes.
